Title: Lead flashing and self cleaning glass roof
Post by: Afterglow Window Cleaners on May 02, 2013, 05:47:46 pm
Hey Guys,

I was asked by a custy to clean a glass roof (self cleaning glass) I did the job wfp but could not get rid of stains left by water running off the lead flashing down the glass.

Anyway a couple of days later I got a call back because of marks on the roof, it looked like loads of brick dust had settled (I rinsed well) after I had cleaned, however the weather here has been good so I can't understand it.

So, does anyone have any ideas why the glass was so dusty after cleaning and also does anyone know how to get rid of the stains left by rainwater running off the lead flashing?

Cheers, Gary

I used turtle wax on glass stained by lead. Pour some on a scrim and polish. Came off easy. I had previously tried the usual rubbish, de-icer,scraper etc.
