load of rubbish, i was speaking to the guy that makes it and he assures me there's nothing untoward in it.

No it's completely safe have been assured by the manufacturer
-
I'd have thought virtually all solutions stuff is eco or 100% safe that's what nick sells the benefits of it for, if in doubt ask him that's what I'd do I bet that he'll send you data sheets.

Shaun
The only thing that Nick sells that is Eco friendly is M Power
-
how do you define eco friendly ?
-
Dan
Exactly ! Eco friendly has to be kind to the Enviroment And Phosphates Definately are not and that is the base of most micro splitters apart from coloids such as M Power and Nemesis as they are produced from plant and vegitable extracts

Always use when muck spreading. Never let me down yet.
-
Steve,
Looks good. What method did you use?
Simon
-
Just used rotary with queen bonnet
-
lets face it
"eco" is just marketing, you could say its a package offered ;)
when asked by a customer what i use i reply, i use nothing more than what you use in your washing machine except its low foaming and designed for carpets. "oh right" is the reply "when can you do it"
question, If eco friendly is such a big deal and works just as well if not better than detergents, then why do Ariel and Daz and percy Persil still insist on selling us detergents to use in washing machines?
honest question, just curious?
-
maybe because in a washing machine the detergents rinse out thoroughly....
Something that does not always happen in a carpet :o
just a thought ;D
-
"ECO" means it will not damage the environment and should be fully bio degradable.
When your crap goes down the sewer to the sewage farm all the organic parts are digested by bacteria at the farm settling tanks. Unfortunately all the chemicals from toilet cleaners, washing machines, dishwashers, carpet cleaners etc which are not bio degradable are just pumped out to sea poluting the environment.
Most eco friendly cleaners are made from plant extracts. There are some good natural solvents and detergent type esters etc which can be derived from plants.
Trisodium Phoshate which is the basis of most Microsplitters is not eco friendly and in fact can cause serious harm to the environment. They are a lot safer for the operator to use because they don't contain any chemical solvents or detergents derived from petro chemicals.
I believe Prochem probably have the biggest range of ECO products in their Natural Range followed by Chemspec with their DFC range. I believe DFC105 has the most eco credentials of any product world wide as it has been tested and certified by quite a few ecological organisations.
In short if you cared about the planet you would move over to eco products, a lot of people do. A hell of a lot of carpet cleaners promote themselves as using ECO products when in fact they are not.
-
Good reply John, I suppose its always good to "appear" to be as green as possible!
-
I make no bones about the fact i mainly use Chemspec and Prochem Detergent chemicalls, somtimes use a bit of M Power and HD microsplitters, but in the main anything Chemspec, Always have and always will as long as i am a carpet cleaner! I was just making the point as John rightly pointed out that a lot of carpet cleaners advertise themselves as ECO friendly, and the real truth is that Microsplitters are as harmful as any other chemical apart from the coloids, But the likes of M power and Memesiss have only been around for five or six years

Are you sure?
I thought MPower was responsible for the Berlin wall coming down.

Ive cleaned many thousands square metres of carpet tiles using Fusion Clean and have to say i have always been happy with the results plus it leaves a pleasant smell. Also, after revisiting sites that were cleaned using Fusion Clean a few months later to clean again......the carpets seem easier to clean.
As some of you know myself & Nick @ Solutions dont exactly get along :) however i have always given a good report on some of his chemicals.

Iv'e used gallons of the stuff, ask mr white i used to buy 100 litres a year from him, yes it does work well but not at the dilution they say it works! ie 25 to one ! more like 10 to 1
-
Tried it myself and mixed at 1/20 great results.
