I have just spoken to my website guy and he says he can remove a watermark in about 8 seconds >:(

though most people with the skills or software to do that don't go around nicking peoples photos they know better.

I agree but with the link it seems it has people like David bailey and other prominent photographers worried for the copywright on their works and as the link points out what used to be yours through ownership becomes a free for all grab if someone else wants to use your pictures.
I can basically plagiarise your website content and use it on my own site and there is nothing you can do about it, mirroring everything, even though I haven't done the works

What's worse is if people start copy and pasting chunks of your text then google will begin to devalue your site as duplicate content which could be devastating if your knocked from page one because some toerag has stolen your content.
