It doesn't happen often, but we were cleaning some shops this morning and a guy with a posh accent explained that he's selling his house, he has the estate agent coming around later today, and that he's desperate to have his windows cleaned; inside and out. He says he understands it's short notice and adds that we could "Charge him what we liked!"
It's a big place too, swimming pool and tennis courts.
It's lovely when that happens. We charged him well and ended up with a regular clean out of it. He's moving to London and we'll clean it on a monthly basis till it's sold. I just have to e-mail him and he promised (without prompting) to pay when he received the e-mail. Not that I would take short cuts mind you.
But he's restored my faith in customers.

Nice when that happens.
A few years ago a woman in a XK8 pulled up an said she was desperate for a window cleaner, she told me the address and said its open do inside and out. I said you don't know the price, she said well you have the tools and I have the money. ;D ;D
A license to print money.

Unfortunately, not every customer is like that.

I had an EOT enquiry today. As its just a one off I got all the necessary details, was just going to google maps when she said "It won't be £100 will it?"
I checked out the property and was quite fortunate as you could see the rear of it from aerial shots. It looks like 25 mins work as not been done for a while.
Told her it'll be £55.00.
She really should have not said anything.

So you could've got £90? ;D ;D ;D
