Title: Double di size ?
Post by: Ste b on April 30, 2013, 11:03:27 am
Going to change to double di and was wondering what size's would be best. Tap tds is between 70-90. Was going to go with 19L but would i get away with 11L or would i go through resin to quick?

Thanks

If you get twin 11L then a 25kg bag will fill both with a bit left over.

It was good advice. Whats the point of using two di's both with new resin?

Apologies. I thought the point of 2 vessels was to keep tds at 0 then once it rises put second vessel first an new resin in second

its simple really .

Use one di until tds starts to rise , when it does add the second di with fresh resin after the used one .

That way the first vessel gets it down to 5 ish then second one to zero , this will save loads of resin as you would normally of just changed the resin and thrown it away.

When it rises again the second di becomes the first and you refill the other vessel with fresh resin.

Hope that explains it , much easier to show than explain.
