Just had a great day out at the TACCA training day and its hats off to Derek West and his wife who have done a fantastic job of organising it all. Dave Liahona and Paul Moss were imo the stars of the day with the very informative demos of their various skills, which are considerable.
Also good to put names to faces and meet up with others I haven't seen for years.
Well done Derek and wife....brilliant

Just arrived home from a great couple of days. Friday evening was a great crack and start to the event. Saturday, learned loads, put faces to names, met old and new friends. Well done Derek and Sian, thanks for the hard work putting it together. And those that left before the hog roast missed a treat. See you next year guys.
-
Just to say thank you to Derek and Sian for organizing it. Also to the trainers who were fantastic in that no question posed was regarded as stupid. I came away with loads of great tips and ideas I could not believe what could be done in a toilet.
Thanks guys for a superb day....you cannot buy that sort of day.
-
Like to have stayed for the hog roast but with other arrangements its hard to be in 2 places at once (bloody kids) I meant to have a chat Allan but there was so much to see and do a very good day indeed.

Just returned home, the TACCA event was a real eye opener and a fantastic opportunity to finally meet so many really nice people and raise the much needed cash for the charity.
Again i would like to offer my thanks to all the trainers and organisers to make this all possible, one of the highlights was being invited into the back of Billy's van to see his blower which was .. by the way... filthy and in need of a damn good clean! ;D
The auction at the end of Saturday night was also great fun! ;D ;D ;D
-
Great weekend - meeting friends old and new.
Ran like clockwork from start to finish and as usual we all enjoyed the banter in the bar both nights.
Derek and Sian should be proud of themselves for organising a cracking event, ably assisted by the trainers who all showed off their skills.
I'm sure everyone will have picked up tips that will save or make them money.
When we have aggro on this forum, you sometimes forget what a great bunch of guys we have in this trade, that's why it's important to regularly get together at events like this.
-
Just got home well done to all the trainers for putting on such a good day was great to meet up with a few friends put some faces to names and make new friends.
Days like this dont just happen they are hard hard work to organise and tbh i couldnt do it. Thank you derek and family for all your hard work well worth the drive and wont be missing another one.

David you will get used to us.its only Billy who is a nob head :)

Really grateful to Derek & Sian for putting a LOT of effort in to making the weekend a success. The suppliers who gave their time to demonstrate their products should be applauded - I'm sure they'll get plenty of business from the attendees. Jamie@CSUK, John from Restormate, Mike from NuLife, Richard from Chemspec, the guys from Woodbridge and Hydramaster, and Alex from Alloy all showcasing some great products and information. Paul Moss, Dave Liahona giving their time to help less experienced people like myself out of the goodness of their hearts. Unfortunately Derek was a bit too busy keeping things running smoothly to get the most out of the event, but I'm sure now it's all over he can relax and put his feet up with a cup of tea (he is of course tee-total - although that phrase obviously means something different in Cheshire??).
The hog roast was delicious - for those who left before it was served: Don't worry, Dereks son had your portion(s) - I think it was 4 pork rolls at the last count!
Great to meet all those who attended - I'm sure next year will be even bigger & better!
-

-
When is next years tacca day, gutted I missed this one but still on holiday
-
Great day especially Jamie's demo about low moisture cleaning, seeing a pad even after encap with Releasit and a Cimex, then Environ and an Orbot, then extraction with the Mytee ETM & T-Rex Rotary wand for an hour, then Encap again with a Cimex, then an Orbot then a Hydramaster Titan with an RX for 30+ mins this could still be pulled out the carpet with a cotton bonnet on the Orbot! (http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1367169316_pad.jpg)
On a side note sicknote Billy Russell was not substituted,JK's face was a picture when his team got beat 6-0 ;D ;D ;D

He clearly has the genes for fast food ;D Working out the the time to delivery ratio so opted for the eat roll whilst standing in the que again 8)
-
He asked me if I thought it would be okay for him just to get two at the one time.
-
he actually got 5 all together but the last one beat him as he could only manage half, and yes neil, the...... eat in the queue system worked perfect as he'd just finished one by time he got served with the next.
did anyone have the vegatarian lasagne i ordered in just in case?
that crackling was just fantastic.
ps....
i think all training courses should come with a hog roast.
-
It was a cracking weekend Derek and Sian deserve the praise they are getting for organising the event
-
Had a really good time. Friday evening at the Indian was a great laugh, and was great to be able to put some faces to names. Will definitely stay over on the Sat night as well next time, missed out on the hog roast, raffle and auction, which all sounded to have been good fun.
-
Yep the lamb balti was amazing... the Hartford Hall Hotel was a pleasant place... room was clean and the breakfast was very acceptable!
Made the mistake of testing out one of my torches in the bathroom.... http://youtu.be/1bX4HgOEDJM ;D
