The water out of my tap is 43ppm TDS and I was wondering if thats pure enough to clean without treatment? I did an experiment by gleaning some glasses with it and leaving them in the conservatory in the sun to dry and couldn't see any marks, but I don't want to start cleaning peoples windows and start getting complaints.
On a bit of a budget and eager to get settled in while the weather is improving so wanted to keep the costs down, can I get away without an RO?
Cheers in advance

You dont need a ro but a di vessel or two will be better

Double DI change the first when the output gets to 10ppm.
The second then becomes the first. And repeat at 10ppm

No you won't be able to clean with 43 TDS water it will retain to much muck and dry spotty
but as above Double DI the water - a great and cheap way to get pure
