Title: DI Vessel
Post by: Mike55 on April 21, 2013, 04:29:14 pm
Just a quickie if someone can answer....

Inside my DI vessel I have the cone shaped fitting at the bottom of the riser tube and the tube just goes to the top of the vessel where the in and out ports are.   I have just checked my friend's vessel and he has a cone shaped fitting at the top of the riser tube as well as the base.   Am I missing a piece at the top and if so is it needed?

If anyone could give me a quick explanation of how a DI vessel actually works that would be great.

Tap water comes through the cone at the top, pure through up through the bottom. No you don't need a cone at the top

Tap water comes through the cone at the top, pure through up through the bottom. No you don't need a cone at the top as resin can't get through it. Water will come in to the di around the rim.
