Hi all on CIU, i'm just wondering as a matter of fact what is the average absolute minimum charge that you would
not go in for any less than to clean a average size house, I know you have to factor in different price's for
different parts of the country, most window cleaners have a minimum charge factored in before they price a job.
Just wondered what the average minimum was on this site.

£8 to £10 at a guess
-
i try and stick to 10 as a rule of thumb but im a sucker for the old dears
i do drop down to 5-7quid on small propertys etc
really do need to up it to 12-13 quids tho
-
Feel the same Richy tend to drop a little for pensioners
money isn't everything.
-
My Cheapest job is £4 for two windows on a bungalow for a old lady its all money in the pot ;)
-
My minimum charge is £12.00.
-
It depends on access. For example with a flat where the others are also cleaned it could be less than£10 but for most I view houses as a oneoff job and set a £15 minimum. I dont have hoses trailing all over and try to park on the property.
-
£10.00 for me. But will charge £8 for family ect
-
£3.50 ;D ;D
-
I assume Gavinb is being silly...
However, I have a half day of £3 flats.
Great earner.
-
My minimum is £5 for a 2 bed terraced house and £7 for a semi
That is Sheffield though.... Im not sure what you could get in other places
But it really all depends on how long it is going to take and how close your next / previous clean was.
-
£5 fronts only or shop front.
However.....if there were ten £3 jobs in a row, all having 3 windows front only I would be stupid not to take them on.
-
min price toget out my van is £5 but the only jobs i have for £5 are very very small, i.e. 4 or 5 windows at the most. Most of my average three bed semis or around £10 however!
Im from the east midlands. Hope that helps some!

£5 Cumbria,2 bed terrace front and back :'(

£5 Cumbria,2 bed terrace front and back :'(
How long does that take to clean? how many doors and windows? plus, do you clean frames and sills as well as doors in your service?
The reason i ask is because there are a few variables when it comes to pricing as im sure everyone is aware, but i feel it needs to be brought to attention.

£2.50 4 and 5 bed detached houses! ;D

Sean i'd be crying too if i only got £5 for that job :o
-
Don't touch any new work (whole house) for less than £15 monthly. If they want 2 monthly it's £20 minimum.
Fronts only, minimum of £10 now or £12.50 every 2 months.
My cheapest job is a 2 monthly, next door to a £30 job. She has one bay window cleaned for £4.
-
£1m and a Ferrari for a one off

My lowest price property is a £5 bungalow but I have a few in the same cul de sac so it's actually a good earner same with some front only on another part of my round :)

Have you thought of becoming a plumber :)
-
My lowest is a free clean a month to the cleaner who gave me all hes old customers, apart from that i have a handfull of crappy £8-£10 houses from years back that i have rows of 20+ houses on so still good work, now i dont take anything on less than £10.
-
Told a gal today got to be worth at least £5 just for turning up with the van!

How long is a piece of string ?

Hi One eyed window cleaning,
I read your comment [ how long is a piece of string] if you read my post, you will see that at the bottom of my
post i'm only trying to see what the AVERAGE minimum price is that people on this forum would not go below
to clean any house. minimum price's vary amongst window cleaners but if you add them all up and divide the
people inputing their price's you come up with an average figure.

Don't forget for your average to be viable you will need to discount the top 2 and bottom 2 answers.
Basic Statistics exercise.

For me I proved a reliable, good service and min price is £15 per house, I do have cheaper work on my books but this is for any new work
