Title: Minimum price to clean a house
Post by: lal on April 21, 2013, 01:10:19 pm
Hi all on CIU, i'm just wondering as a matter of fact what is the average absolute minimum charge that you would

not go in for any less than to clean a average size house,  I know you have to factor in different price's for

different parts of the country, most window cleaners have a minimum charge factored in before they price a job.

Just wondered what the average minimum was on this site.

Regards lal

It depends on access. For example with a flat where the others are also cleaned it could be less than£10 but for most I view houses as a oneoff job and set a £15 minimum. I dont have hoses trailing all over and try to park on the property.

My minimum is £5 for a 2 bed terraced house and £7 for a semi
That is Sheffield though.... Im not sure what you could get in other places

But it really all depends on how long it is going to take and how close your next / previous clean was.

£5 fronts only or shop front.
However.....if there were ten £3 jobs in a row, all having 3 windows front only I would be stupid not to take them on.

How long does that take to clean? how many doors and windows? plus, do you clean frames and sills as well as doors in your service?

The reason i ask is because there are a few variables when it comes to pricing as im sure everyone is aware, but i feel it needs to be brought to attention.

Don't touch any new work (whole house) for less than £15 monthly. If they want 2 monthly it's £20 minimum.

Fronts only, minimum of £10 now or £12.50 every 2 months.

My cheapest job is a 2 monthly, next door to a £30 job. She has one bay window cleaned for £4.

Hi One eyed window cleaning,

I read your comment [ how long is a piece of string] if you read my post, you will see that at the bottom of my

post i'm only trying to   see what the AVERAGE minimum price is that people on this forum would not go below

to clean any house. minimum price's vary amongst window cleaners but if you add them all up and divide the

people inputing their price's you come up with an average figure.

Regards lal

Don't forget for your average to be viable you will need to discount the top 2 and bottom 2 answers.
Basic Statistics exercise.
