peugeot expert 2002 plate anybody got one what are they like on fuel are they a good van

2.0 HDi-not a bad little motor at all.
1.9 non turbo-not so great but you could do worse starting out...

ive got an o2 plater expert ive had for 3 and half years now.
cant complain on whole - fuel (mines diesel) quite reasonable. takes about 110-120 quid to fill it from scratch tho. im usually tipping in 40-50 quid a week as my round not so compact.
i did have clutch done a year back and that is dear average price shopping around 1500 as they have a dual mass fly wheel so a 3 piece clutch meaning its twice as expensive to fit than a 2 piece.
ive got the 2.0 hdi with a 500ltr van mount tank in back and great pulling power. the 1.9 ive heard lacks uumph if youve got a load on.
recommend commercial tyres a reasonable brand when changing them as the cheaper ones wear out way to quick.
dont think your go far wrong with one steve ainger on heres got one as well his might be the despatch (still same van)
think theres always luck of the draw with a van as to whether you pick up one that you spend little on or end up replacing stuff. I know my front suspension probably needs replacing but then you know they are just wear and tear items.

i got the 04 hdi .had it 5 yrs .great engine ,
165.000 up to now .find it heavy on juice .

I've got a 56 jtd. 2.0. Sx. Scudo. I get 600 miles out of the tank when i do a full service with Mobil new life oil. And a bottle of injector cleaner.

I have 2.0hdi dispatch for 7 years from new. Good van. Economy OK. Cannot expect too much hauling around 1/2 ton of water, especially if you carry ladders as well. From what I hear the economy is better than the lwb transit connect which is a similar size van.

get a vauxhall combo diesel. great reliable vans that go on forever ;D

I am thinking of getting rid of the berlingo and replacing with a t230 connect or a scudo/partner/dispatch.....can't decide which one though....
