Title: What are those fittings called ?

Need to replace the male fittings that fit onto the tap unit on the end of the reel hose, because they are warn !
What are they called please ?   

They fit into the female ez snap fitting on end of pole hose.

are they called 1/4 inch female coupling or 1/4 inch male coupling  they screw into or onto tap . :)
