hi,cleaned carpets in a mansion of a house 6 months ago.Told the customer they have a problem with moths.Today they called asking for the whole house to be treated. Now what i remember of this house ,they have large cabinets full of books and furniture that would be a major problem to move and some with no way to get the repellent onto the carpet underneath.Of course these are the areas where the moths can cause most damage.I can ask the customer to empty all these units ,but would be a major upheaval. How would you approach it,thanks

Team of 2. Can't think of anything you couldn't move. Get some sliders. Yes, ask them to empty any big items they want moving. Get a roll or 2 of sticky tabs. Price accordingly - where there's muck (or a recognised problem) there's brass. Tables piled high with books may not need moving, but if you do watch for strain on old legs. Use an effective insecticide, sprayed through a decent flat fan nozzle, concentrating on edges & areas usually under furniture.

I'll move anything as long as it's empty, the last thing you want is a breakage. Sliders are great but you also might want to consider a lift mate http://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/en_GB/?ObjectID=14119900 (http://www.restormate.co.uk/epages/15094.sf/en_GB/?ObjectID=14119900)
