Title: Pressure
Post by: clarkson on April 16, 2013, 04:55:15 pm
Hi all
I have an 11hp ya mar diesel on 16lpm inter pump.

It is a beast with a turbo on cleans most things.

Sometimes though I would like to drop the power or water flow. It has no control for this.

Is it possible to add a valve to drop pressure a bit.

Thanks

John

You should be able to alter the pressure by adjusting the unloader. Or else altering the revs, depending on what set up you have.

The easiest way is to just fit a larger nozzle. This will drop the pressure but the flow will be the same. Adjusting the unloader to drop the pressure without dropping the revs will work the unloader hard

yes i kow it sounds daft but it has no 'obvious ' unloader . My Honda machine has a great big numpty on it .

there are no control valves in sight. it is a gear box model with a by pass.
