Yes and don’t rate them but Shaun will probably disagree with me (he was the 1st you know) could be wrong. Me wanderwand not every ones cup of tea ;)

Am I slow or what ???
-
Ok... so which one works best?
Does anyone agree that they are better in regards to drying times? etc...?
-
Definitely slotted - no clogging.
No improvement on cleaning or dry times, I use glide because it glides over the carpet easier, and can reduce judder when going against pile.
Green glides from Hydramaster.

To be honest it all depends on what your cleaning so may be worth having the slotted and Hybrid. Use the slotted on carpets in places like minging carpets in rentals and pubs / clubs and the hybrid on most domestics. Glides do make wanding easier but to be honest im not entirely sure they speed up drying times.

The guy on TMF did a video how to fit a new glide, he used a sealant around the edges. Now I have a wand with a glide, got it second hand with some other stuff, is it worth sealing the edges before I use it?

Shaun
To your knoledge you were the first mate

I got one from ken Harris the guy who invented them and he said that mine was the first to be shipped internationally at that time he was making them to order not bulk he was just into double figures he used to post on the cleanfax forum and was experimenting with the cwi carpet wand interface at first he drilled holes at the back of the wand to draw air through faster and preventing lock down it worked but the next evolution was the Teflon glide.

Why?
They can turn a low powered portable into a rug-doctor
-
How about using a Jag with a glide???

Shauns wife also told him, he was the first ;D

Better take mine off. When I bought it the supplier told me it would benefit me grrrr

Steve of course the glide is OK on a portable, surely you can be the judge of that when using it?!!
It will theoretically lower the CFMs of the system a bit because it restricts the flow, but when the wand is on the carpet it isn't pulling that much through anyway compared to open-flow. Crucially it will not affect the lift. Your main benefit is the reduced fatigue, but on some carpets it will help draw a bit more water away compared to no glide. Surely you have noticed that it makes your wand technique much smoother?
I'm not convinced a glide leaves all carpets drier, some maybe, some definitely not any drier but certainly no worse than not having a glide. Expensive but worth it just to lose the back ache.

Good job I have a high powered portable then ;D
On a serious note I don`t think it has a huge effect on portables. I have to try it just to see how it performs with my ninja.

When i got my Airflex i didn't have a glide i decided early on that i did need a glide the wand just clamped itself to some carpet and was difficult to move on large jobs it was hard work, with the glide it, well "glides" across the carpet.

I've always used the slotted glide both with the Airflex mini and the Airflex pro 600...it makes wanding so much easier.
