Just wondering what's the best gutter vac system is the best to use
-
Get one with at least two motors. I have the omni and it works v well. Got it a few years ago and while the long hose doesn't lose suction it weighs a ton together with the pole and loads of sludge going down it. Look at the aluminium poles, a lot lighter.
-
What vac do you use
-
The Omni poles I have are aluminium. The Omni vac fell to bits. I now use a CFM sol 3000 which has less stated watts but sucks better. I now use carbon fishing base tubes which are modular rather than telescopic and an absolute pleasure. The Omni power pole more than earns its keep.

How do you lot go on in the rain as I guess alot of people want there gutters doing in autumn and you know what the uks weather is like lol
-
It is a pain but the vac I use has a screen and you just stop the motors and open the valve to dump the water out. The frozen days are a pain
-
Oh so you can still work in the rain and it does not effect the motors etc
-
It is a wet vac ! Similar to a carpet machine I run the vacs to dry them out at the end of the job. I got my vac out of a skip at a factory where I used to work
-
I was worried about that lol
So forgetting the vacuum where would you buy your poles from
-
i got mine from a member on here but there are some on e bay.
-
where would you buy your poles from
Poland. ;D
-
Thanks for the help
-
When it's frozen, I use a wide, cold chisel. Gets the stuff out in metre long prices. Means going up the ladders of course.
-
I stay in bed ;D

What fishing pole do you use carl? how high can you go with them? and how wide are they? i use alloy poles, which are ok... until i need to go over a conservatory or up to 3 stories...
Been looking into fishing poles but they seem to taper out very thin and was thinking that I would only be able to use the bottom 3 or 4 sections
-
I don't know offhand as its down the farm at the moment but they are all base sections and about 40mm. I can remember who I got them from but he had a photo of about 6 sections at 30 degrees in one hand, they are a pleasure at 3 storeys and over conservatorys. I think they may have been these or something like it
