Cam belt might not be broken. Same happened to my old scudo, the engine wouldn't turn over but once it was lifted back into place and wasn't leaning on the side of van the engine was fine.

Jeez, that's a sickner. Good luck getting it sorted. I'm glad that didn't happen to me. My financial situation at the time would have meant I was totally buggered.

same happened to me, fixed it my self for under £80 notes, on a pug expert, richy I have in the past broke cambelts and repaired the damage cheaply enough, usually just some bent valves and a new cambelt

fingers crossed mine might be same but been told its highly unlikely to avoid paying good wedge out to repair it from a few mechanic friends

I have been told the same, recon head etc ££££ I stripped it down my self and bought the parts needed and fixed cheaply enough, mechanics have a habit of taking the easiest option and that usually means ££££
