As above I'm interested to see what we all use.
Got me thinking after I saw a bloke with a trolley today.
Is there anyone who actually carries a backpack about all day?
-
Aye,me
-
me too
-
me too, although i've put a longer bit of pole hose on so i dont wear it on my back all day anymore
-
Doesn't it do your backs in a bit?
-
done a year with a back pack on me back, enjoyed it as well.
you soon learn how to save water. ;)
-
i used a trolley for a year when i started.pain in the bum changing barrels and humping it about everywhere.cant see a backpack being any better either as your constantly having to top it up with water as well as carrying or pushing it everywhere!!
van mount and 100m of microbore is best.remember time is money.why waste it on things you dont need to do?
-
I have longer hose on the backpack.
Carry the backpack and pole in one hand 25 litre bottle in thr other can clean upto 35 houses in 7 hours.so not doing too bad.have a trolley and a van system.
i prefer the backpack.hose doesnt get caught.

Doesn't filling it up do your head in?

I've got a van mount and 100m of minibore,I had a pure freedom trolley, but for me and my work, 2 of us with backpacks doin tops + conservatories, and 2 on bottoms doin trad is best

Hi Kybl, It's a yellow 19mm I.D hose that I got from pure freedom. Aye there will be good flex in that stuff you are using, I use a smaller diameter radiator hose to circulate my hot water.

oh right. i thought you used the 1" outlet you told me about - its made a mad lot of differnce by the way - i cant wonder off & talk while the backpacks filling anymore, which is saving me loads of time lol

Do you put barrels along the way to fill up?
Surely it'd take a while if you have to keep nipping back to the van?

Have 35 litre bottles aswell carry 2 at a time and yes put some up the street sometimes takes seconds.
much quicker than having 100 metres of hose catching everything.
the only time i use the van system is on commercials.

I'll probably get a backpack for the odd seems like a good idea.
Can't see me moving away from van mount though.
Yes the hose does get caught but its only occasionally. ;D

Horses for courses. I trad, wfp van mount and use a back pack, as for the trolley I can see it would be good in some situations but have never encountered one.

yeh its great ta, but what i cant do is find t piece to reduce the 1" down so i can put a hoselock on it & have a pump connected as well. i think i'm gonna have to get a new hole drilled in the tank
