Hi everyone. I met with my accountant today. Normally I give paper copies of everything, but today he suggested I use Sage Instant to keep track of all things tax-wise instead. Does anyone have any knowledge of this system? Is it easy to use? I know that's a subjective question, but I am fairly savvy on the PC.
Thanks in advance for any advice. :)

Why not just use www.aworka.com its not just round tracking software providing you put all your custys in and expenses and it will do all your profit and loss automatically .
And if you have monthly direct debits you can have auto recurring expenses to save you adding them each month updating mine at weekend then printing off for acccountant. Mike

yes i use it,very good
its now ready for the RTI regarding paye etc
get the free trial and play around for a bit and learn your mistakes
one mistake i made was inputting individuals amounts from my bank statements in reality all i had to do was add up the income from the statements and input as a whole figure for the month....just like your book keeper does

Could't do without SAGE.
Judging by all these comments, I guess I'm gonna be the same! Thanks guys! :)

Is Sage good for keeping a record of your customers & payments etc? Is something like George better?
Cheers,
Steve

We use it too.
Haven't a clue how it works, the wife looks after that side of things.
Our accountants love it though

I believe George can be linked directly to it.

use xero
It is ideal for the small to medium sized business - we have been using it for three months - super/smashing/lovely
cannot recommend it enough

I have sage loaded but I think its too advanced for what I want. It seems grand for sending out business to business invoices but when you are only starting out and dealing with Joe Bloggs that deal in cash, then that's a different thing. Maybe when I get a good round going then it might be different.
Cheers,
Steve
