Title: Hot pressure gauge
Post by: Matt Gibson on April 03, 2013, 03:54:24 pm
Bit of a strange one, but i was running the trailer unit today, and the pressure gauge and the elbow that joins it to the hose was getting really hot. especially the 90 degree elbow. Any idea why? could it be because the water is hitting the elbow?

What type of unloader is it

Its not plumbed into the normal jnloader its plumbed into the "second" unloader we discussed in a previous message. its the second unloader between the standard unloader and the boiler. all other hoses are cool and so are both unloaders.

are you thinking the pressure gauge is just getting the same water on standby and overheating?

Yeah, thanks mate. Think im going to change it over so the gauge is on the normal unloader.

Ok, so today went to swap the gauge over from the second unloader to the first, and realised it had no glycerine in it, thought the needle shaking was due to the same reason it was getting hot, swapped it for a new glycerine fille done and no needle shake and it just gets a bit warm, but im guessing thats due to the way this machine is set up.

Need some advice on that so im starting a new topic with a pic.
