Hi guys
I know a lot of you clean roof tiles etc and I want advice on thermal roof coating. Doe's the roof need to be pressure washed or can a chemical be used to spray on then brush off also what is the cost of the coating to buy ? who sells it ? etc I have a roof to clean just getting rid of moss and will be ringing Chris Scott about his chem without the need to use pressure but I might recommend to custy about thermal coating but I need to know rough guide to pricing and steps to follow to do a good job and also supplier for gear.
Any advice appreciated Cheers Phil.

The thermal coatings were developed for hot countries to reflect heat from the sun to keep the property cool. I doubt that they offer the home owner any real savings in heat loss or money due to the structure of the roof...although some companies claim they do. They also give 10 or 15 ye guarantees to the home owner ..which is not worth the paper it is written on!
For information about self cleaning glass i would try here http://www.pilkingtonselfcleaningglass.co.uk/ (http://www.pilkingtonselfcleaningglass.co.uk/) as pilkingtons are a little more advanced than bettaware in this field.
More info on the roof coatings and the process can be found here http://www.northwestroofclean.co.uk/ (http://www.northwestroofclean.co.uk/)
Please feel free to phone me if you require any advice on the different metheods for cleaning roofs.
