Title: Which pump
Post by: jason atwell1 on April 02, 2013, 04:22:48 pm
Currently have a 100 psi 5l/min shurflo pump coming to the end of its life, was going to just replace like for like.
Then saw gardiners only sell the flojet.

Is there a reason to buy the flojet over a shurflo, or vice versa?
Read that the flojet is specifically designed for water fed pole.

I've been using the same 100psi Shurflo for the last 5 years, so will buy another of the same when this one breaks down.

How long have you had yours?

About 5 years also, changed the pressure switch a few times, but its pumping less and less.
One plus on the shurflow side is i now know how to change the pressure switch for a couple of quid from maplins,
Any one know if this is possible on a flo jet?

I you have a filter (pre-pump) try cleaning this out, it might help the flow rate.
