The one prefilter may actually be a carbon filter.

You MUST, MUST, MUST have a carbon filter
Call Gaps and explain your setup - depending on whether you have booster pump etc, they will recommend the right membrane.
You MUST, MUST, MUST have a carbon filter. Chlorine (taken out by carbon filter) is a membrane killer.

P.S. You MUST, MUST, MUST have a carbon filter.

Any other pre filters need if you could list em for me going gaps in the morning

Gaps water are in southport???!!!

Sediment filter protects the carbon filter and the carbon filter protects
the membrane.
If you only use a carbon filter then it wont last long as it will block up with
sediment quickly.
If you only use a sediment filter then it wont protect the membrane from chlorine.

You're in Liverpool. How frosty is your shed?
-
Yeah col do u know of some one closer?
It's been cold lately like but my last one was outside in the own for a few years with out problem. ????? Ill put both filters on tomorrow

If you only have 1 prefilter it needs to be a carbon filter. The sediment is less important as the carbon filter will also remove sediment. This is the set-up I have (only a carbon pre-filter) and it works for me.

I've just been on the phone to Brodex said they don't use carbon am going to pop mine back on and go to gaps for second opinion!
