Title: pump for 40/40 R.O. ? can anyone advice?
Post by: RCS on April 01, 2013, 06:54:26 pm
I bought a system from x-line but the 40/40 R.O. gives a high reading despite filters being changed including a new ionics water softener filter being added !!
can i ask if anyone added a water booster pump to help get a better lower reading? especially if they bought a x-line system... would appreciate if anyone could help with some advice on the matter... cheers. !!

If you are on less than 60psi then a booster pump will always improve the quality and quantity of the product water. I usually recommend this type:

I had one of those.  VERY noisy :o.  Died after 18 months.  Now use this one:

Almost silent (plastic impeller instead of cast iron) and so far lasted 3 years +

Been using this for over a year.Maybe not the most quiet, but does the job fine.

Considerably less in price than the others.
