Hi all
I wonder if anyone can give me any advice as to which battery to choose from? I know I need a leisure battery but I have seen 85 a/h and 110 a/h which one will do the proper job and keep it's charge the longest? I was going to go for a 110 a/h until I noticed that my friends Brodex setup has a 80 a/h battery. Just wondering if Brodex with all their experience have choose the better option?
Any help would be appreciated

The 110amp will hold its charge longer than the 85amp, but it will cost you more.
Dont get me wrong the 85amp will be fine as well.
I have a 110 amp, it may be slightly bigger than the 85amp.

i only need to get a battery for my diy build trolley, would a electric vehicle gel battery 12volt 18amp hour be any good as it seems a good size for the job?

Weight can be an issue with trollies.
However my trolley system came with a 17ah "car starter" type battery, but it runs out of oomph after 2/3 hours with my 60psi pump - let alone the more commonplace 100psi for van mounts.
So I use an 85 a/h from Bristol batteries - which costs about £35 plus vat.
I reckon 60/75 amp is about the right balance for a trolley and 85/110 for a van.
Leisure is better than car too.

My flowjet 100psi pump is 7amp so you would only get just over 2 hours use.

110 amp will do then.
Thanks Roy ;)
