Title: Going on holiday when you employ
Post by: g.brookes on March 30, 2013, 04:32:59 pm
One worry I have of taking on staff is never being able to go away.  How do you manage to get away?  Do you trust your staff to get on with the work.
And if you are working with them, and they cant drive, when you go on holiday what does your employee do?

It will always be a worry ! as said above best if you all take the same time off , tell them at the interview, if they don't like it tough !

I am away monday to friday and have left my employees 4 days work, any complaints from customers and they get their wages deducted accordingly. It's nice to know you are still earning whilst you are on your hols ;)

Holidays? What? Like when you were at school? Or if you work in a bank?

Holidays?

No.

No.

The family are gathered around "Old Windie Workaholic's" deathbed paying their final respects.

Son:(Kneeling at his Father's deathbed) Any final words of advice for me Dad?

Father: (Gasp) Yes, son... (gasp)

Son: (Tearfully) What are they Dad?

Father: (Wheeze, gasp) I wish I hadn't worked so much ... and had spent more time ... doing things with you and the family.

Son: (Welling up even more) Don't fret yourself Dad.

Father: (Wheeze, gasp, rattle, oblivion)

Son: (Bows his head, lets go his father's hand and feels the hot tears behind his eyelids.)
