Just had my renewal for my Ford Ranger insurance from Adrian Flux. Fully comp, tank declared etc £454 - I'm 44, full ncb and live in Devon. Do we think that's representative ?
-
Before I got rid of my ranger the insurance seemed to be going up disproportionately to other vehicles.
Simon.

Yep. My previous P100 was down to £95 a couple of years back but the final renewal last year was £165. First years insurance for the Ranger was £440 and to be fair it's is worth more than the P100 ever was. Just seems a bit much at my advanced age, good record, full ncb and residence in the 2nd cheapest insurance region in the UK.

What age is your ranger EandM if it has jumped up quite a bit that is shocking better off switching agents to see if you can get a better deal .
For my L200 Trojan 60 plate was about £250 cheaper on renewal last November to previous year was well happy cant wait until my insurance gets down to £454 might take a few years . Mike

It's an '02 Mike and it's up £14 over last year - but it still seems to be rather a lot considering my situation. Only plus side is that Adrian Flux aren't remotely bothered about the tank in the back or any of the kit so it makes life easy. Might try A-Plan though, Martin

Sounds good Mike and I would realistically expect my insurance to go down every year too.
I have insured with LV before though and have left them on two occasions over their outrageous add on charges and basic con / disinterest / utter uselessness when settling a claim in which I was completely faultless (vehicle was legally parked at the time) ! Do they just use LV Mike or broker on a wider basis ?
-
No they broker on a wider basis just in my case LV have come out as the cheapest on both ocassions . Mike
