With the dreaded bird flu in France and now knocking on our door, what or if are the implications for us window cleaners?
Are we at risk because of the amount of times we come into contact with bird feathers and poo from catching this illness?
Will we have to note the possible risks involved from cleaning our clients windows on our Risk Assements forms?
Will we be liable if one of our employees come down with this illness?
If so what preventive meausures will we need to undertake if any?
It would be interesting on your thoughts on this matter.

Mmmmmm, never thought of that!!!!
-
the risk is minimal, infact extremely low.
-
That would be a good point to add to the wfp explaination letter

88 people world wide have died from bird flu in the last 2 years, most of these kept or had regular contact with poultry, as far as I am aware non were window cleaners.
As long as you don't lick the windows clean I think you are pretty much safe and shouldn't loose sleep over it. ;D

Also it's a bit unlikely you'll get chicken doo's on windows. ;D
-
as mc hammer says "dont touch it "
