Hi guys.
I'd like some advice. I'm currently using a wonderwand. I think wands in general are back breaking. Can anyone recommend me an alternative? Rotovac powerwand, 360 or extracta scrubba. Or anything else? I have my machine running around 200 psi.I mainly do domestic if that helps.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys
Craig

Do you have a glide Craig?, they can make a big difference.
-
You cant run a glide on a wonder wand.
I find the 3 jet wonder wand is only really effective up around 500psi. The 2 jet version works better at lower psi.
We still carry a normal scrub wand too (which you can fit a glide to) for some applications.

Craig try an evolution wand(see hydramster website) After using the wonderwand it will feel like cheating as its an absolute piece of pee to use with excellent resilts just rather expensive......................Alan

I bought a two jet wand as a back up for my wonderwand but when I tried it out the wonderwand was relegated to back and is now relegated to the garage. Buy a new wand with a glide - you won't regret it.

Craig I have an evolution wand for sale very good condition it is the wider one with 2 inch bore, PM me if you are interested, Ted
-
Ted, there is no PM function on this forum. How much are you looking for for the evo wand?
-
Afternoon guys.
Many thanks for the various responses.
I haven't tried a glide, I'm willing to give one a go. Although I must admit, would prefer a cuppa in one hand. Have you seen the rotovac guy pic ;-) that's what I'd like haha.
Has anybody used a rotovac powerwand or 360 etc?
They look fantastic , but god there expensive.
Cheers again guys.

Hi Gary/ted
Yea I've been using a wonderwand for ages now. Don't know why I've gone so long, I simply can't get on with it.
Normal wand with a glide or evolution wand?
Any further replies on the rotovac would be much appreciated. Positive or negative!

Extracta Scrubbas are fantastic! I just happen to have one for sale! ;D
They are even more back-breaking than a wand, mind.
-
Hi Max.
How come they are more back breaking than a wand?

i have the 360i,really love this tool. They are expensive, but easy on the back and cleans great.
-
Extracta scrubas do a real good job, leave the carpet dryer and use less water but.... they are heavy and awkward to use especially in a domestic property.
-
Thanks all for feedback. Reckon I'll go for the 360 once I've saved for quite a while :o

agree thats a good price , those are selling for $2500 in the states and imports usually end up around = £ for $ over here .
-
The only disadvantage is that with a fixed, none flexible head it will skate off and be difficult to control on uneven surfaces.

I think i read that the variable speed helps overcome that problem , not sure .
-
I doubt that, it will still skip even if you slow it down.
Wouldn't mind trying one though.
I wonder if Woodbridge would lend me one to put it through its paces

If it does not have diffrent heads it could be a disadvantage as Rotovac can be converted to hard floors etc.
I used to have an Ashbys Powerbrush not latest hi tech equipment but found it easier than a wand.
Although I have found no reports on here when it got old I started getting through Motors fast at £100 plus a go . I did in the end find sombody local prepared to take it to bits on one occasion it was the brushes.
-
why dont you double your prices, do half the work and problem solved...Simples.. ;D
