Hi chaps,
I got asked to price a 5th floor flat today but as I'm still doing my trad custies with wfp I haven't really been called upon to price a high flat. I'm fully aware how to price for ground and 1st floor but how do you go about the higher stuff?

Just 1 flat or the whole block? If its just 1 flat it wouldn't be worth it. All the windows below will get wet and dirty from your water so you'll either have unhappy neighbours or have to clean them all for free.

Just one on this occasion. Tbh I already have single 1st floor jobs where I use wfp, and so far I haven't had a problem. I also had to drop a customer a couple of years ago as she moved to the top floor where she now has a wfp'er but he doesn't do any others in the block. IMO at the end of the day neighbours have to live with the drips if they don't already employ a WC or better still employ me!

large pole for just one job i got mine off flea bay for 124.00 cost the guy 950.oo he lived in a little village and hoped to get some high work but it never came better to giv e the job to someone with the equip and take a drink out of it

Tbh I can't see the need to sell a bigger pole for that reason as there are always high windows/solar panels on houses that require it. Also as for passing on work I wouldn't see it as very proffesional to say to a client who had asked me to clean their high window that I need to call in the services of someone else.
