Title: Advice on first shop on high street clean

Hi fellas, just a quicky, I was asked earlier to give a quote for a few windows above a shop on a high street. They did originally ask me to use ladders but I said I would have to check if that's okay.

Am I right in thinking that using ladders on the high street would be too dangerous and that wfp would have to be used? This is no bother for me as I offer both but just wanted to check.

Also if I am to use water fed pole is there any health and safety precautions I must carry out or certain times it must be done etc? Or can I just turn up and clean as I would on domestic?

Any advice would be great its above a betting shop so I am aware that it will be fairly busy.

Sorry if this is a stupid question for you guys but this is the first time I've been asked so don't want to take any chances.

my answer would be, in your shoes, as you offer both that it would need to be done early due to the foot traffic, i.e 7.30 ish before the high street became to busy, and either wfp or ladder could be used, leave you to decide that one , you will be long gone before the bookies opens if you use wfp so they will not know who splashed there windows, and ladder no problem anyway, I like these jobs if they agree as it lets me do domestic while doing shops

either way whatever you decide wfp or ladder on a high street in normal hours is a nightmare, and I would avoid

Thanks for that Stuart, when you've done these jobs have you had to do anything else such as method statements etc?

I think I am confused what you are asking, I presumed the asker was residential above the shop, if not, well I am still confussed, why wouldn't the guy doing the shop do them, but then I slap myself because I do a shop and flat above that some one refused to do, I do them both wfp early, no H&S paper work supplied but if needed I could

No not residential its a charity that rent the offices above a betting shop. I'm not sure if the shop below already gets done but I clean the house of a lady who works for this charity and she had recomended me.

if its a office then just go in early, every one happy, personnally id use wfp but you use whats best for you, (cant see why anyone would use ladders when you can use pole) but your choice,
