Can I ask the reasons for choosing black and orange?  I would have thought a lighter background.would be a better option?

because of my logo and wanted it to stand out,i find white backgrounds look boring and all look like template diy sites then,

Like the site content but I'm also not too keen on the black background. It makes it quite hard to read imo.

Also I'm viewing it on my iPhone and notice there is no mobile version. I thought having a mobile version was standard for new build sites nowadays?

(My website also has no mobile version but my site is 2.5 years old)

The testimonials page is a good idea, however I would alter the grammer on one or two

I like it, but not the orange icons at the bottom. The conservatory isn't a conservatory and the gutter man does look a bit odd! Why not use the range of pics you have on the other pages and just repeat them. They look good.

Looks fine, just not sure you're meant to be doing outside this persons house?

Id say you're halfway to being arrested.

On your contact form, I know why you have the captcha, but people hate them. I monitored my rate of enquiries when I introduced one on my contact form. My enquiries dropped considerably. I took it off again and enquiries are back where they used to be.

Not sure if that means anything, but it is just an observation based on my own experience.

Also (while i'm having a Guinness):
Your testimonials page doesn't have any spaces after the commas and full stops.
In the BACS section, get the custy to use their address as a reference (you've done it for cheques)
In the conservatory section you've used 'roof's' and I think it should just be 'roofs' don't need apostrophe.

Will the 'designer' take responsibility for using copyrighted images? I got caught by Getty Images for one on my old site.

One of the pages leads to an unavailable page as well. I would remove until its available.

Keep tinkering and you'll get there.

The big questions are: Do visitors know what I do? Can they contact me? Why should they choose me?

What did Getty do sunshine? Invoice you for usage or just ask you to take it down?

The first I heard was an invoice for nearly £1k, if I remember correctly, and instruction to take it straightdown and a threat of further action. I replied saying I'd taken it down with an explaination. I also contacted the 'artist'. There are ways to deal with Getty which in my case worked. My niece's father in law got done for £1000's. He decided to pay.

Getty buy previously 'free' images and send a web-bot out to find them.

JP Getty had a payphone for guests at his home so it doesn't come as that much of a shock!

Yes I know which is the shady side of their business imo.

The usage fees that they pay photographers to buy or use their images is also terrible.

(Sorry for the derail WW)
