as above how many customers could one man service in a month if he was all domestic worked 6-7 hour days and the work was a mix of compact extates and rural lane work roughly only reason i ask is im trying to work out how many more customers i want before i would need full time help from someone. cheers
-
come on guys im going to say 350 ata push on average size houses
-
Working by number of houses is pointless. It should all be about money.
-
ok how much money can someone make a month on there own with domestic work at an average of £10 per job. this is absolutly in no way refering to my earnings as i have a long way to come but some say they can do 4 grand per month on there own is this true ?
-
im not sure how many people are going to answer this :-\
-
i would say between 3 and four hundred to still have some quality of life
-
yea thats the sort of number i thought about 350 tops without working like a gonad lol

I don't mind answering as all our turnover is declared and recorded :)
We have some guys who only want to do about 7-800 per week and one who does about 1100 per week and a new guy starting soon who wants to do 1200 per week.
Just depends on who you are and what your aspirations are. As for 'is 4000 per month doable?' - certainly.
-
I suppose a big factor is how compact the jobs are and how much they are worth per clean and how fast a person can realistically clean them.
Each and everyone is slightly different i suppose so i think thats why most people arent answering.

easily with the right round.
its only £200 a day for 20 days. easily achievable i think
-
Number of customers is not a good guide really. One of mine is a block of 37 flats, and houses can be a small terrace to a large detached.
-
Other members will be along shortly Deangsi , just be patient ;D
-
1000 customer per month with us ;)
-
What, one man? That's what the OP meant.
-
i reckon it depends on what part of the country you live in etc in regards to earnings as a one man band domestic window cleaner.
i think if your down south then £4000 a month would be a good round.more like £3000 a month further north.
dont forget you wont work 20 days a month due to illness, holidays, really bad weather etc.plus when you take off tax, insurances and expenses itll be less than that but still better than slogging your guts out 9am-5pm for someone else!!
as for how many customers well it just depends on so many factors but i have 340+ mostly monthly and i can get round easily and still have a few days off here and there during the month.also i finish around 330pm-4pm most days.starting at 9am-10am.my work is a mixture of very compact estate work, large domestic and a few offices and other commercial jobs.
i personally dont want to be working flat out week in/week out every week so i dont!! ;D
the hard part is getting the work and organising it to make it pay.
you can earn more than the figures ive quoted above but it just depends on your work/life balance and how much you need/want to earn.
and of course pricing!! ;D ;D
-
Realisticly on your own having a £10 min charge you should be doing 25-30 average properties a day. Creating min £250-300 per day £1000-£1500 per week which is achievable london bound. Some guys do even more than that.
-
I think it would depend on a body massage or the full Monty, maybe 30.
-
Also depends on:
Do you work in all weathers?
Is your pricing good?
Do you let custies turn you away "this time"?
Do you want to work 5 days a week on the glass?
So Ian Lancasters 4k a month (for me) would be Yes/Yes/No/Yes to the above.
As for me it's No/Yes/No/3.5 days = £2.5K! Ok for part time and me ...
(Excluding Dan the part time man!)

I would think one man aged under 45 working 8 to 4.30 on an established round
no matter where it is in the country should be making 200-250 a day if
not get some one to give you some pointers organising, pricing ect ;D
