Title: Anybody give me some ideas of how to clean these?
Post by: DeLuce on March 17, 2013, 09:43:51 pm
Could anybody give me some ideas about the best way of cleaning the insides on these babies please? I only have your normal trad gear, would I need to buy much more efficient equipment? I don't really want to spend a bundle on new great for insides of i can help it, unless it's worth my while, of course! I'm wfp on the outside.
Thanks for any info.
If the image fails to upload, the windows in question are 5m tall in places and consist of 1m-ish square panes from ceiling to floor. 5x panes high x 4-5 wide.

No pics has come up. Your trad gear should be fine on the end of a harris pole.

Hi Nic, I can offer you a concept for cleaning these 5 mtr tall interior windows.
I can give you a 30cm aluminium mop frame with velcro strips that will fit perfect onto a 3 x 2 mtr extension pole, use a damp little waffle microfiber glass and mirror cloth which will stick onto the velcro strips and proceed to clean the glass, then take off the damp cloth and put on a dry little waffle microfiber cloth to polish off for a perfect streak free finish, the 30cm mop frame with velcro strips is made to clean right into corners and edges.
Little waffle microfiber glass and mirror cloths are the highest quality and highest performance cloths available for cleaning glass and mirrors, they are extremely durable and can be laundered up to 800 times.

Thanks Tadgh, that sounds like a good idea. I've never done anything like this before internally. So it's pastures new!

Hi Nic, No problem this concept is simple to use and very effective and because you are using the cloths just damp with water there is no mess, if the glass surface is very dirty i can also offer you Beyond-kleen which is the safest and most effective glass and mirror cleaner available on the market today, contains no IPA,ammonia, alcohol, just spray a small amount onto the damp little waffle microfiber glass/mirror cloth and proceed to clean surface, then use a second little waffle cloth dry to polish off for a perfect streak free, grease free, lint free finish, if i can be of any further assistance Nic, please just let me know.

Trad pole the higher windows but do not use any soap, just water.
Still blades off ok but the detailing is much easier.
