Possibly - - I personally despise this kind of "trademarking words" tactic, and between that their lies about the PPB systems being 1000x better I lost what little respect I ever had for Ionics.

It all depends on your point of view. Ionics were the first to think of the phrase 'Reach and Wash' and so used it to identify their brand. Naturally they want to protect it and prevent anyone else profiting from the public recognition they have generated.
Take for instance the trade name 'Avondhu Cleaning Services'. I've no doubt the name has very good connotations in the County Cork area but I bet the owners of that business wouldn't be too pleased if someone else was going round that area with a van signwritten with the same words.
Just thought I'd better add: I don't have any connection to Ionics, nor do I or any of my organisation have or use Ionics equipment ;D

if its trade marked you have to be very careful if you use a phrase that is similar , as the may have you for "passing off " in other words people may think you are the "original" company , if in dough its always best to get legal advice before you set up web sites, start trading etc etc.

You are aloud to use it say it whatever. It only becomes a bit dodgy when you advertise the words with window cleaning. As you could say you reach and wash the top of you wall in the house. That's not illegal. Its context with window cleaning would be. Besides I wouldn't worry about it. I have it on 2 of my vans and have never used ionics. Like someone said. Reach n wash will keep it dragging on for some time. It will be in the freedom of information act to see what's exactly patterned and what isn't.
