Do any of you use card payments at the door or a payment Page on your website?
If so would anyone be willing to say roughly What monies you take this way. I seem to lose money if customers are out and no answers. Im thinking that I already have an agreement with most to go ahead and clean and double up the following clean but I know I could do better giving the opportunity to pay on line. Would anyone agree in this.
Regards.

Most of my customers that are never in pay by BACS online bank transfer.
Just leave them an invoice with your account number and sort code.
Or good old fashioned cheque payment, I still get a fair few sending them.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I have chqs also and all commercial work is bacs. Some of my customers are 30 40 pounds a clean and on times they have no money in the house so was thinking of online or a card machine setup for future payments ect..
In an ideal world i would have all paying by S/O.

I don't like standing orders most of mine are 6 weekly which doesn't fit with most banks
40% of mine pay by bank transfer
40% pay by cash or cheque
the others pay by PayPal or card for which i use iZettle

Theres this site, but I've never used them so it's not a recommendation.
Personally I wouldn't want to pay the fee's and lose some of my revenue no matter how small.

A few years ago I was losing 100 a month on no answer customers so I introduced the chq in post for no answer customers and quickly made that 100 back. S/O I believe will guarantee my clean to be done if it's raining ect. People in work ect will be cleaned as it's all on S/O and therfore my rounds total is much more realistic in terms of money in.. most are fine and have an agreement in place. Cash under mat. Chq. Bacs for a few..if my round is worth £3000 a month on glass alone I reckon im not getting at least 200 of that.
Cheers

I use payyours, can sit at home and take payments over the phone too, takes all cards.
Costs 49p for each transaction, the more you do the less that is.
