Title: LPG Vans
Post by: AJ on March 16, 2013, 12:50:19 pm: Does anyone know what vans come in LPG?
I've seen Citroen Dispatch but they are only 1.6 engine with a 1000kg payload. It seems a bit undernourished to pull the weight all day long.

I like the new Transit Custom but as far as I can see they're all diesel.

Any help, links or advice appreciated.

How does that work out on cost per mile and mpg Chris ?

Mine was factory fitted by Ford

And as far as mpg is concerned I have never checked to see if its better than petrol I only ever just fill it up

I can tell you the tank holds 75l of gas which costs me .79p per liter i get around 250 miles from a tank full

Im sure someone clever will work that out for us now

There is a system that injects oil or somthing into the cylinder to lubricate the valves to stop this happening, not all lpg vehicles have this though

Post by: Scrimble on March 17, 2013, 10:31:25 am: i've had lpg vans and can tell you there a waste of tme for wfp work, you need the torque from a diesel engine to pull the weight, your mpg will be less than half compared to a diesel engine, you will have to be gunning the engine everywhere just to keep up with the flow of traffic!

thats a scam, been running years
