Title: Selling our water
Post by: steve123 on March 13, 2013, 05:48:17 pm: Has anyone tried selling pure water to customers/public?

Was wondering about selling in 5L containers for £3 and refilling for £2.50 (prices just an example as not done any costing yet)

Saw one of my customers coming out of Halfords today with 20L of what is essentially the same as we use.
She said her husband uses it for something or other and she uses it for ironing.

So I thought why not buy some containers, stick a pretty label on and make some pocket money.

Post by: C o z y on March 13, 2013, 05:53:21 pm: If I were you, I'd get sorted what the normal price is, let your custies know that you have containers on the van and let them know that your prices are good etc. Job done. Ironing with steam irons I know about, and a lot of people have started using the steam mops more recently. Good idea there mate. Go for it.

That's another good idea. Time to brain storm me thinks. Sounds like the possibilities are all over the place.

yer, not 100% sure how they make it and what they use due to the tropical fish etc, but im sure its the same sort of way that we would do it, maybe pass it through a few UV lamps to kill off any bugs in it

yer , dad had to use a large one to fill his outside pond up for his koi, took 2 days to fill it lol

and hes really happy with that :)

he has had 300 ltrs so far this year ;D
