Must admit, ive been in window cleaning 10 years now, and I have found this winter a walk in the park.
The lad I employ has struggled a little mind.

I agree. Apart from a really cold week in January it's been a doddle. I've only worn my gloves once and that was when I was working past 10pm in December.
That said, I'm looking forward to spring and summer.

Firstly, preperation, i.e thermals, hat etc (oh, and I have come home twice a day for hot brunch and lunch) which helps as opposed to the local sandwich shop ;)
Secondly, I genuinly enjoy the minus temps, and genuinly look forward to the winter. (Still look forward to the summer aswell lol)
I like the challanges the winter throws at you.

it's just been dull so much puts your spirits down, i seem to remmeber cold days but the sun shining for a couple of months.
-
I don't mind the cold, as long as it is dry. I just put extra layers and a hat on. Don't even bother with gloves as being trad they hinder detailing.
The ice would stop me before the sub-zero temperatures do.

What are you talking about? This year is nothing out of the ordinary. If anything it's been less harsh winter than the last few.

He was referring to the cold weather, not wet weather. ;)

its funny but when im not working like yesterday i was freezing just changing a wheel on girlfriends car but when im out working i hardly feel the cold! ;D ;D ;D
if you ve been window cleaning 20 years you should be used to it! ;D ;D ;D
when its a cold wind chill then i wear my neoprene gloves and hat as well as my usual fleece, goretex jacket, boots and ski pants and im fine.
i think this winter has been kind to us here in the north west compared to the heavy snow of a few years ago.
anyway itll be spring soon lads!! ;D ;D ;D
some window cleaners will be moaning though even when the spring comes.some of you are not happy unless you ve got something to moan about whether it be rain, wind, hail, hot sunshine etc. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Went out at about 1pm, got to the first job and decided to call it a day.
I don't know about other areas but here in the Brighton area it's very light snow blowing in the air and about zero with winds gusting to about 40mph.
-
It definitely felt like one of the coldest days so far, due to the wind. It was cold out there but still got a massive job done and a medium one. So good earnings. Gloves, beanie, hot water system, thermal under wear.
-
ran out of gas today. My hoses went like steel cables and the reel sprung a leak. Couldn't wait to put the new bottle on.
-
I was working all day on an exposed hill, the wind chill was the worst I remember.
did a full day, but my face and hands are stinging now I'm home. ;D

It was around 0 c all day today, with a few snow flurries and a light breeze.
I've got a stinking cold, but put extra layers and my hat on and worked from about 11:30 to 4.30.
