Is anyone else still waiting for a bargain SLX or other pole that was ordered in the Gardiners Sale?
I did have to get mine through sure clean systems but it'll be 2 weeks on Monday now.
-
SLX-35 and a few bits ordered 28th Feb, all but free resineck arrived 6th March.
This was direct from Gardiners.
Why would you order from a supplier? Doesn't this add to the cost?

OK.
The thing is that the sale is still on, although a fair bit sold out now I think. Have you looked on their site again? Worth a shot, if they have what you're after you could cancel your order and order direct.
I think the sale ended just over a week ago but then restarted a day or so later. I say this as I went to buy and the price was back up, then I heard the sale was back on.

got mine within 5 days ;D
-
I managed get secure a SLX25 at £237, Sure clean are just saying they are waiting for Mr G to send them.
-
Still no word!!!! Two weeks now :'(
-
Why don't you give mr gardiner a call and explain maybe he will give you an idea of when it will be sent? The longer your waiting the more strain your putting on your body with the brodex pole. Ha ha

Exactly!!! Kinda used to the brodex now though
-
More importantly: Gardiner had a SALE!!! :'(
-
3 weeks now, still waiting. Brodex sent me poles quicker than this. Even called Gardiners today but might well have not bothered. Disappointed.
-
Gardiners are sold out of the SLX25 as are Sureclean.
Not much chance of you getting yours anytime soon.
I was after one but will make do with a CLX.

Sure clean said Gardiners were sending them some as part of the sale they had, I was told they expected to get the pole by the end of the week but its been 3 now. Why say they have some if Gardiners don't? Am I just supposed to wait til never?
-
Totally agree.

It's always best getting them direct from the supplier. It sounds like Surecleam sold you something they didn't have in stock in the hope that they could get some off Gardiners.
Bad move from Sureclean

I think that I can shed some light on all of this for you and Sureclean have simply been a victim of the success of our recent pole sales.
When we announced our pole sale we had a massive influx of retail orders which naturally slowed down our retail fulfillment side to a 5-7 day lead time.
However at the same time we had a massive placement of orders from most of our distributors around the world. This was unprecedented in that the orders were placed so close together and at such high volumes. Arthur at Sureclean usually orders from us about once or twice a month for a batch of poles and brushes. All distributor orders from us are fulfilled separately to the retail orders and are subject to a 4 week turnaround. However in normal situations we are usually able to fulfill them in just a few days. Arthur at Sureclean therefore will have thought that when placing his last order it would be fulfilled in the usual time period hence him giving you an anticipated ship-out date. However because of the large number of distributor orders before his, it has had to wait several weeks (which is entirely inline with our standard supply policy).
He does have a large order of poles and brushes about to be collected and I am sure that if he has promised you some of these poles then they will be in this shipment. He has simply been caught out by us not being as quick on our distributor turn-around as usual. The upside is that Arthur will have a lot of poles in stock that we have now run-out of.
We are expecting a few more SLX30 and SLX35 poles back in shortly as the tubing manufacturer clears their stocks of any extra tube sections they have.

If you supplied shoddy goods you wouldn't have issues with selling out. Maybe you should look at your business plan! ;D

Thanks for that, still a little disappointed and still none the wiser as to when its coming, unless of course you wana send a bigger pole for the same price?? ;D

Probably best to give Sureclean a ring and check the status of the order as they will know the anticipated arrival date and availability.

Finally got the pole today!!!!
Used it a couple of times but noticed that when the pole is down, all the clamps close just nice but when I extend the sections, a couple of the clamps only need closing half way or just over, suggesting the diameter is slightly different at each end.
Anyone else know what I'm on about...
