Title: Other people's van signage
Post by: heritagecleaning on March 08, 2013, 06:31:18 pm

Bit small to see well, but what do we think? Got to be better than a blank van.

Inset is going on the roof.

The job in Devizes has finally been sorted, and I can't have you turn up with a professional looking van, to learn from me, and the Housing Assoc decide to call you in the future  :P :P :P :P

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Or really tall people?

Seriously though, isn't the roof not flat? Usually they aren't flat and have indentations to stop the water pooling, like canals.

Steve - I'll give you a call re: devizes the job

The roof apprently gets seen by the folks next door (domestic or commercial) while you're doing a job. Got the tip from Pawlo the NCCA guy when I was on the course (he has his done).

On second look, I personally think the little green man is surplus to requirements ......... the name and wording is fully descriptive  ;)

I can see your point, but I thought some form of visual reference would be good.

Plus I paid £38 for the vector image!

Don't get me wrong, never meant it was no good but that your logo & wording are doing the job on their own  ;D

Smartest vans I have seen, are the ones with the least on them !!

Only thing I would add is your website across the back doors. Some people may want to check you out before they call you.  :)

Is that a Doblo Andrew ?
If it is I have one with Magnet stickers, looks rubbish
compared to yours!! now I've seen yours have to have a re think
mind you my van is dark grey, not great, perhaps white lettering.

Hi Paul

White would work well...My very old Kangoo van was dark met green with white writing

All my vans after that were silver that`s why i have gone for a white van now (time for a change).

Yep, its a Doblo. Brilliant van, but wish it had side doors. Apart from that its great.
The writing is a dark green but in the dark looks black and the orange tick is like a luminous orange so stands out well. Had a lot of calls from people seeing it, seems the "local" part catches their eye. :)

Andrew
Its a bit cheeky but would you mind telling me what you paid for the
sign writing  it'll give me some sort of Idea  whether I can afford it
oh and what are those wheel trims off /
I had a hell of  job getting the rust off my wheels
then just painted (guess what rust coming back)

My son likes your avatar you really made him chuckle, he is 10 though  ;D  I trust you don't have that on your website, although you would have a unique selling point 8)

it was £240 to do. But the guy who did has just retired so not taking on any new work. LUCKILY though, he has kept some stuff so can replace anything that gets damaged.

Had to have this done in meantime as VW have paid for a complete wrap but ww.werx.co have
not done it and I am in process of taking them to court.
avoid werx.co at all costs.

Thats the god thing about having a coloured van (any colour exept white). It gives the illusion of a wrap without the expense.
