Title: Cleaning bird droppings at height (on painted render)
Post by: Swcs on March 08, 2013, 10:33:25 am
If a crusty asks you to clean bird dropping off the walls and pure water and scrubbing just won't budge it.

What methods or cleaning aids (without ladders) do you use?

Nothing will budge it cos it's probably stained!

Use a stiff bristle sill brush.
Same method as on glass quick rub to damp then leave it for a few minutes and
scrub again.
If painted be careful not to damage. If pebble dashed leave well alone or you will have
small stones all over the place.
Bird droppings sometimes leave a stain that you wont be able to remove.

More trouble than its worth imo.
Say what i say, sorry but the brush will get contaminated with grit which may scratch the glass when i clean the windows ( dont tell them you have other brushes )
Gets me out of doing it anyway
