Logistics and Infrastructure get knocked but this country is one of the best for online purchasing.
Pole hose ordered yesterday from cleaningspot 11:37 arrived here this morning 8:30!!!!
I think that is pretty impressive.

6.pm last week my kid ordered a c.d off amerzon  8.am next day at door.

You should try having an AB postcode. I can see one of the busiest heliports in the world from where I am and yet, I am treated like I have asked them to send something to Mars!

I pay extra for postage (most of the time), 'next day delivery' actually means at some point in the next 3-4 days (most of the time), and '24 hour express' is more like 'you might get it this week express'.

Having said all that Parcelforce tend not to charge extra and can usually meet their own deadlines. Also I believe the Royal Mail ordinary post service is the envy of the world. I have had delivered to me letters with nothing but my name and postcode on it.

A few years back on a Wednesday before good Friday I ordered a TV from 1st audiovisual about 3.30 had a phone call back about 4.00 to say that they had one at a depot near me and if I wanted it before Easter they could put it on the truck but it would be first off as the truck had just been loaded for the next day delivery and would I want that.
So the next morning at 6.15 we had a new TV.

Ordered a DVD rental from Lovefilm on Sunday.
They aim to despatch within 1 working day.
It still has not arrived................. ??? >:(

ive heard that royal mail are the nvy of the world as well.  doesnt matter where you live in the country, standard mail is the same price.  pretty admirable stuff but apparently thats due to change soon as they cant afford to keep doing it!
