Title: That time again?
Post by: lee_dewing on March 07, 2013, 08:47:19 am
I am getting round on time now winter is died out.

Had a few mention it seems a bit quick.

I am monthly and don't plan on changing that.

What do you 4 weekly guys, monthly guys say to custies in this situation?

I just said i'm monthly but do run late at winter.

1 custie had a few years now said i thought you were 6 weekly looked at her records and probably 1-2 times in nearly 3 years been that late due to snow!

Usually 5 weeks latest.
Told her see you again around easter.
She wasn't nasty just a bit surprised ;D

Another custie black cabbie ::)roll

Cancelled me... told him of price increase and said it was early and he'd let me know :D

90% monthly at moment ... no plans to change it. ..... except ...

On a growth drive at moment and 20000 leaflets ordered but with prices on inc bi monthly option at 50% extra over monthly price so this may change .

I think that when a customer expresses surprise at your return and comments on how it doesn't seem like whatever the usual duration is, they aren't necessarily saying that it is too soon and that they would prefer you leave it this time, rather that they can't believe that the duration passed so quickly.

I usually chime in with, I know, isn't it dreadful how time flies. Tempus fugit!

i just humour them with "you must be enjoying yourself too much or working too hard or getting old!"haha!

anyone else noticed the older you get the faster that time seems to fly? ;D ;D

dont read too much into it lee and crack on with a smile! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah same here, we had one yesterday saying it wasnt long since we last came, i then pointed out we are actually late!! (All be it 1 day ;D didnt tell her this though) we are 4 weekly. She didnt like it either as weather was all murky and moody here so we just left her out.

Like you say over winter we have been running late up to 3 weeks at some points what with snow and Christmas time off. They just need conditioning again, TBH 4 weekly i think is too regular, ideally i think 5 weekly/calendar monthly is better.

We have at times gone a day or two early on 4 weekly stuff and out only ever had 1 customer mention anything!

Trouble is you cant win, go late and people say "Oh you are still alive!" or go on time and they say its not long since you last came!! LOL   ahhh all the fun!

this debate rears its ugly head every now and then.............4 weekly......monthly......5 weekly.....6 weekly.....8 weekly
etc etc

in my opinion the problem is WFP, the bloody windows do look clean after 4 weeks and the cost
if you pay £12.00 every 4 weeks for an innate object like windows you would want to question it especially if your there for 15 mins or less

please argue amongst your selves ;D

Surely its up to the customer to ask to change to 6 or 8 weekly if they are not happy, just keep doing them every 4 week until they ask to change ;) ;D

Anyone says that to me, I rabbit-punch them hard.  What right have they got to make conversation with what they probably think is a light-hearted original comment?

That's true.  As we get older we get a bigger time reference to compare too.

I did my sister inlaws the other day (freebie) hadn't done them since last summer they were still not that bad. I didn't spend any longer on it than I would regular work.

I charge extra for smiling ;D

Probably looking too much into it.
Now my wife is out of work and doing all school runs, i'm getting round swifter, which is good (for me  ;D)

I think whatever the frequency the remarks would still come.

Sometimes i wish all my custies were standing order so didn't have to bother with idle chit chat.
(I'm a miserable s0d ah! ;D)

Had one yesterday suggested she goes standing order.
When she opens the door in her dressing gown all times of day tell me she's giddy not well, how muh is it?
You woke me up :'( :'(

People ask you to clean their windows then over time they seem to resent you calling ???
Vin, I think that a rabbit punch was due for black cabbie, they just up'd all their fares  ::)roll
Thanks everyone.

Stick some red diesel in his fuel tank and then report him to VOSA.
That'll teach him.  ;) ;D

When I go I usually know the date I last did them, so I can say, 'Yeah last came 7th Feb, comes round quick doesn't it'
