Thing is, this looks dodgy, but ive done it a million and one times. Walked along a a flat roof or something similar then stood on the ledge if needed to.

Wouldnt do it now mind due to WFP, but wouldnt say this photo is that bad or wrong to be honest.

Yep, it's when he hauls that ladder up and sticks it in the  flat roof's gutter so he can reach the next floor that you got to start worrying

James, I take it you are joking when you say you don't think it's bad/wrong? You don't get much worse unless it involves a ladder, on a van roof under a live wire over a railway line. Ok, bit of fun but he is risking his an others well being. He can make the choice, the poor old bird he lands on will be quite surprised to me squashed by a fifteen stone wc.

Not joking at all my friend.

Yes, its not ideal, but like I said, there have been loads of ocassions when I have done 'something similar' to what this bloke is doing.

I was doing this as little as 1 year ago... before I turned WFP.

I want to confess my sins!

Thirty odd years ago,  I would stand on the top run of a thirty foot ladder, pressed hard up against the glass with nothing but friction as a friend, to clean windows.

Sends a shudder down my spine thinking about it.

I suppose I'm lucky to still have a spine to send a shudder down.

I saw a guy the other day with one foot on a 8' high wall and the other pressed up the side of a tractor unit brushing away at the unit he was leaning against.

In a word: PRECARIOUS  :o
