Sort of a crepe type material, very heavily soiled, they have about 6 dogs, last person to clean it soaked it,so they put it in their garage to dry out, said it took around 4 days before they could use it again..
Lot's of staining from rust where the buttons and staples were, couldn't budge that.
Started with fab restorer, then moved up to shockwave, still not that happy.
They paid 1600 to get 2 small sofa's and an armchair re upholstered, !!!!
Crazy..Noticed it felt a bit slimy after I had cleaned it,never experienced that before, any ideas ?

Lol re dog slobber, possibly, one of them was pretty old and dribbly !!
Did give it a very through rinse out, prob around 40 ltr for both sofa's and an arm chair, which is way way more than normal for me,thankfully I recovered most of it ,and left my air mover there,as going back tomorrow to do 6 dining chairs

Your description of the fabric sounds like a sofa I had to do last week. Horrible fabric, heavily stained with tea & coffee (which wouldn't budge) and small ink spots. Really couldn't get anything like an acceptable result. Never seen one like it before and hope not to see another again.

Yes it was horrible stuff, also never seen anything like it,almost like a type of rubber, very weird stuff, had been re upholstered.
And also had trouble removing, ink, and stains, which normally come out very easily, rust marks were the worst I have ever seen, streaks from the staples made it look terrible. No idea why they didn't call the last guy who did it and get him to pay for the damage he caused to it,by soaking it...

You need to fully degrease the area before extraction. You may need to do this a few times on areas like this to remove all contaminates.
