Title: pumps ...pressure and time

i have noticed my pump seems to run for about 10 seconds after switching off,now im pretty sure it never took that long in the past.Is this a sign the diaphragm needs changing or a pressure switch?

You using hot water?
Could also be air in the system or the controller needs re callibrating now the weather is warmer.

If the diaphram is worn the pump will "pass" that would stop the pressure switch from coming in as quick. Does it do it without the controller?

i am using hot water
the pump is a shurflo and the controller is the one from purefreedom
the calibration is around 42,i find anything less than this the heater doesn't kick in,the psi around 50,i use fan jets and like the big spray ;D

what i dont want to do is buy bits and bobs for the pump and cost say£50.00 i may as well as buy a new one

i think tomorrow i will disconnect / bypass the heater and see what it like direct to the reel

Hot water will compress in the hoses more before it will switch off as hot hoses expand.
