Title: Old high pressure hose
Post by: Neil Jones on March 05, 2013, 11:39:37 am
I have tons of this stuff, all split in poop areas like right in the centre. Just wondering if people just chuck it or use it for something else.

They are only ten M lengths and split right in the middle. How do you repair that? A bit pointless chopping it in two for two 5 M lengths

I have loads of the stuff, a good 5/6 years worth. It's about time I did something with it.

you can get the burst section cut out, if the split is only small(ish) and the hose rejoined. You could do this to all your split hoses, and join them all up to make longer lengths. Simples..

Change of subject abit, sorry. But how much would you lads expect to pay for 20 meters and 10 meters off new double wire hose? Cheers

Ive paid up to £150.00 for 20 Metres, I get a good deal now though. Just bought some 30 Metre for less than that.

I am spending a lot more money elsewhere with the supplier though!

£70 for a good twin wire 400 bar 150 c 20 metre. Throw away anything that is split..there is a reason its spilt. They don,t last forever. It will go  again just when you need it. Maybe damaging somebody or something in the process.
I would imagine you would then be liable for using defective equipment (this being evident by the repair).
Hoses are cheap just buy new.
