i've got to clean some painted render, that's in fairly good condition but a bit grimy. anyone got any recommendations for cleaning it, virasol or something or just pure water? i've got a pressure washer but don't want to use it if i can do without.

Di water is fine just use an old brush.
-
Bleach, through an old sprayer or applied with a paint roller
Leave it over night and hose it down or scrub it off with an old brush with water running.
-
done a few if its algae (green) omes off a treat with G101 and wfp - if it's black it will come off but seems to
require more scrub ( or stiffer brush ) and i wouldn't like to do large areas of it

Sounds like a PITA job, hope its priced well.
-
Softwash with bleach - its amazingly quick & easy,.. especially if you've an x-jet nozzle for your pressure washer.
-
TFR + as stiff a brush as possible.

thanks for all the advice, i was keen to know what not to put on painted render that might damage it. i've just ordered some g101 and i'll do some experimenting to see what works best for me, just water, bleach, g101 etc. and report back when i've done the job.
thanks again

Bleach works great
Used it for years when painting and decorating
