Title: Had my van part wrapped
Post by: Ian101 on March 02, 2013, 04:44:46 pm
Still needs conny roof before and after photos going on roof over windscreen.

Think the list of services way too small but used to a MASSIVE window cleaner on side of van so who knows ?

Dedicated bonnet to solar panel cleaning so will give that a few months and if get nowt off it may dedicate that area more to window cleaning

Rear of van still need facebook logo going on the right hand door under pressure washing photo.

It looks very smart but like you say the " window cleaner " writing is not really visable.
I sometimes wonder if you had huge writing on the side of the van saying

WINDOW CLEANING
PRESSURE WASHING
CONSERVATORY ROOF CLEANING
PHONE NUMBER
whether it would be more affective than a wrap

you need some proper wheel trims

looks good but the main bit "window cleaner" doesnt stand out, must have cost a lot

Ian  i agree with you on the soap squeegee - and the soap always makes a better pic   :P

i like it altho for me i find it a bit busy and disjointed i think a little more planning where the web address
is cut along the door joint - could have been up above this.

nice and eye catching - makes the previous version a bit dull

Not wishing to p*ss on your parade Ian but why has the designer of the vehicle wrap missed off the R twice on the power washing pics.
It says Powe Wash (instead of Power Wash) because he has cropped the pictures too small.
Personally I wouldn't be happy with that.

Hi Ian

The van looks good...

How are you finding it offering all the other services now?

I used to offer them to - but slowly worked out that more money could be made by just undertaking regular window cleaning work... I don't even wash down fascias etc.. anymore - just solely window cleaning.

If you take into consideration the time taken for quoting one off pressure washing etc.. then you may as well have just been out window cleaning?

it does look good, but for the 1 second that someone looks at your van for, i dont think they'll know what you do.  especially if theyre looking through their front bedroom window 10 or so metres away.  dont mean to knock you at all, just giving my view

List of services is small I agree.... but That looks brilliant!
The initial 'Eye catching factor' is spot on and that's what its all about these days.
Money well spent, Has it bought you many enquiries?

In my case the window cleaning pays all the bills so the add ons are the icing on the cake.

I price em to suit me and if I get the job then great if not then no problem. eg solar panels start @ £49 conny roofs £5 to £10 per panel ... pressure washing min charge £100.

TBH Ive not pushed any add ons for last 18 months but focused on them now.

So I was right, after only 2 days you may have got a nice chunk of your investment back  :)
A small advert in the local paper is what 50 quid?
If a van sign grabs a custies attention and gets them to make further enquiries...its done its job.
Nice one that fella.

Not being route here but -

Looks great!

I feel it will be less effective in terms of gaining work as the window cleaning etc text is too small.

Loving the bonnet solar panel bit tho

For me it's a tad busy on the sides for customers to get every service provided and phone numbers...

I think it looks great, really like it...

BUT...

As already mentioned, I would be pretty pi**ed off that they have forgotton the dot on the website, and the R on power wash has been cropped wrongly. School boy errors considering they are 'professional' sign writers.

Im sure it turns heads mind in the street, which is what you want.
