had my system just over twelve months now , i was told it all had a 3 year guarantee , anyway my manifold has been leaking for a while now and im losing water so as the nights are getting lighter and im getting busy i thought it was time i got it sorted , so on wednesday i rang brodex and asked for john [ who i normally deal with ] he said he can book me in for friday lunchtime , great i finish handy on a friday , so i goes down today at 11 30 am , so john comes out has a chat asking how things are going etc etc , then 2 of the lads come out armed up to the teeth with spanners , rip out the whole manifold and fittings and replace the lot , me being a cheeky scouser i ask if my pole is under guarantee , if so i need a few nuts replaceing on the clamps [ after 12 months thats all the wear an tear a few clamp nuts ] yyes we can sort that out , half hour later im off shopping in kirkby town centre with the missus , result nice one john and the brodex lads you got yourself a very happy customer ....... so a perfect start to the weekend [ except for the shopping trip tha ;D :D ;D ;D ;D ;Dt is ] ; D ;D ;D ;D

Good post. As most will agree brodex get a good slating on here but most are keyboard warriors with nothing better to do. if their products are faulty they normally sort it with very little hassle and they seem to be trying to rectify some of the customer service issues they have had in the past. Hopefully some might give them a chance to prove themselves instead of complaining about past issues. And this is from someone who hasn't given them the time of day in the past. Recently bought a few very expensive pieces of kit from them and so far they have been top notch. The only problem I have had has resulted in a new trolley being shipped out next day. All good as far as I can tell at moment.

I buy loads of stuff from Brodex. Rarely have any problems, when I do they have always sorted it out

Just back from having 650 DI system fitted to my brand new Vivaro , excellent service throughout the process and also prior to going there very good helpful communication via e mail and phone, looking forward to using what looks like a great piece of kit.

ok Colin fair comment on the brodex pole.. "Gardiner all the way" but can you tell me what's up with the van systems?? I looked every where before buying a system and think there better than most others on the market and had 2 fitted out in vans this year.

well seven months after my original post and im still happy , seen john a few times and he sorts me out , a windy I met a while a go asked me a million questions , seen him the other day and he just got one fitted , hes happy and so am I [ as long as he stays of my patch ] ;D ;D

Well if your manifold starts to leak again, consider changing the rubber O ring inside them. I have just done it and all leak proof again and was pretty easy to get them out to replace

As a 'workhorse' pole, the Brodex aluminium 18 foot is unbeatable. It's long enough for most two storey work, even over medium sized conservatories It will take any amount of rough handling and is light enough for all except total wimps to use all day and every day.
It just depends on what you want - my lads want poles they can use without worrying that they could break if they shove a rusty fanlight window shut, don't wear away as you watch and don't cost an arm and a leg to buy.
I have a Brodex Prolong that I bought about five years ago (at least) - still going strong. ;)

Isn't that gas heater fitted too close to the roof as that looks like the L5 flueless heater?

Bought a 25foot Hybrid back in June. Section 2 broke off 2 inches below the clamp. Took the clamp off the broken bit and re-glued it on the slightly shortened section. Couple of weeks later same happened again.
Guessed the section was faulty as the rest of the pole was OK. Rang Brodex on Tuesday (22nd Oct). Replacement part arrived today.
Can't fault that for service - I'm more than happy with them. Back to the standard of personal attention I used to get from Sean Rimmer - and I'm not a big customer, just the odd few poles and spares.
